Safe at Home

Safe at Home Program (SAH) is designed to be an alternative approach to helping families experiencing domestic violence and abuse. The Safe at Home program provides support to individual causing harm and want to change behaviours. SAH provides supportive group education sessions, case planning, goal setting, accountability planning & assessments.

GROUP PROGRAM SESSIONS

Registration is free, ongoing & can be attended online or in person at our office in Okotoks, Ab.  

Healing Group 1: Participants will explore topics and discuss & reflect on, Defining Abuse, Contributing Factors, Shifting the Blame, Power & Control, Self Intervention & Safety Building, etc. 

Start Date: October 17, 2024 - December 12, 2024, 6-8pm (Thursday Evenings)

Healing Group 2: Participants will explore topics and discuss & reflect on, Healthy Vs Unhealthy Relationships, Intensity Vs. Independence, Disrespect vs. Loyalty, Guilt vs. Taking Responsibility, etc. 

Start Date: October 29, 2024 - December 17, 2024, 6-8pm (Tuesday evenings)

*Certificates of completing will be provided upon completion of programs.

COOL DOWN

A 2–5-day option that supports participants with a preventative option to take accountability and steps to cool down and remove themselves from an unhealthy situation.
